I believe the idea of following your passion has good intentions, but the guidance is shallow. The words on the exterior look good, but there is no depth to them. I do, however, believe we are all trying to find our authentic selves and search for an outlet to express it. Whether it be a musician through music, an athlete through sports, or a chef through cooking. There is something about the medium (music, sports, cooking) that brings out our true authenticity. A pull. An attraction. We all are in search of our authentic selves and, in that journey, are trying different mediums that help guide us with clues along the way. When we stop searching and settle, we give up on authentic self, surrendering power to the external environment to decide who we become. Our authentic self changes as we experience life and can age well like a fine wine, or can grow to mold like spoiled milk. If we give up on our journey to find our authentic self, spoiled milk is inevitable. Search for your authenticity relentlessly.
